10:00am-11:30am-Leslie Kuhnel will present on unrepresented patients.

 

Leslie Kuhnel, DBe, MSHCE, MPA, HEC-C is Division Vice President - Theology & Ethics at CHI Health in Omaha, Nebraska. She will be discussing the ethics of inequity with underrepresented patients, which really came to the fore in the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

11:30am-1:00pm-Brown bag lunch and time to connect (one group on Zoom or break-outs)

 

1:00pm-2:30pm-David Fleenor will present on his article and work at Mt Sinai in developing an ethics curriculum for CPE.

The Rev. David Fleenor, a board-certified chaplain, ACPE certified educator, and Episcopal priest, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he teaches about the integration of spiritual care into the practice of medicine. He was part of Mt Sinai’s interdisciplinary approach to teaching ethics to residents.

 

2:30pm-3:30pm Q&A with speakers

 

3:30-4:30pm—for those who want to stay on the Zoom to visit and catch up (Happy Hour), please plan to do so.
