You are cordially invited to attend the South Texas Community of Practice’s Planning Retreat Thursday, 20th April - Saturday, 22nd April in San Antonio, Texas at Covenant Baptist Church, 19204 Farm to Market Road 2252

The Texas Educators’ Community of Practice (CoP) will host this event to help us facilitate our growth as a CoP and to support learning and development with other related CoP groups. We are planning to hold supportive wellness sessions, such as:
1. Meditative and other spiritual wellness sessions
2. Sessions to expand participants’ understanding of ACPE, Inc. program standards and educational development
3. Sessions to promote the expansion of mutual support from all practitioners
Any member of ACPE, Inc. is welcomed to attend this event. Participants must RSVP their intentions to attend in advance. (Deadline is 04/6/2023.) We will need to know the number of participants to adequately provide for those attending.
You will need to secure your room at any one of the local motel/hotels in the area in advance due to the popularity of the San Antonio Fiesta Celebrations. We have not secured any specific hotel or rate. All participants will be reimbursed for up to 2 nights for the exact lodging cost up to a maximum of $125 per night per member.

2:00 – 3:00pm Welcome and Opening Meditation
3:00 – 5:00pm Session I: “How goes it with Your Soul, Your Center, your State of Being Today?” 5:30 – 9:30pm Evening Activities: Carpool to the San Antonio Fiesta Opening or meet everyone at Starbucks first.
Dinner is on your own.
Friday, April 21st
7:30 – 9:00am Taco Breakfast and Opening Meditation (Main Conference Room)
9:00 – 10:00am Session 2: Didactic Presentation (TBA)
10:00 – 10:30am Break
10:30 – 12:00pm Session 3: Special Interest Group & Peer Review Sessions
12:00 – 1:30pm Buffet Lunch (Main Conference Room) and Labyrinth/Meditative Walk Sessions 1:30 – 3:00pm Session 4: Special Interest Group & Peer Review Sessions
3:00 – 3:30pm Break

St. Mary’s University Campus or meet at the Main Entrance to the Festival. Dinner is on your own.

9:00 – 11:00am Session 6: Planning Session and Review of Interests in Future Events
11:00 – 11:15am Break
11:15 – 12:30pm Closing Meditation, Evaluations and Other Ending Business
(Please help clean up and prepare the space for Sunday Services.)
Thursday Evening Activity
Starting at 5:30pm on Friday evening carpool from Covenant Baptist Site to Travis Festival Site (near the Alamo) for an evening of food, music, and other entertainment. There’s NO Entry Fee to the evening festival activities, the food, and beverages are extra. For those driving directly to the event the parking costs range from $10.00 to 25.00. We will meet you at the River Walk Starbuck Entrance by 6:15pm or you may call my number to
find our location at: 956-357-6481.
Friday Evening Activity
